President Jimmy Radio In The Post-WW2 Era, Has Any President's Legacy Dramatically Changed Decades After He Left Office?

In the post-WW2 era, has any president's legacy dramatically changed decades after he left office? - president jimmy radio

Elizabeth Hasselbeck on television to say something to a maximum of 100 years, Bush will remain as one of our greatest presidents in my memory. "

Is it true that the legacy of a president since the end of his term, that has changed? I can not speak, in times of Lincoln, where he continued access to radio / TV / news. But in the post-WW2?

Presidents Clinton and Reagan had approval ratings high, and both are still cheap by most (both have reminded their opponents, there is no need to leave a comment about how the hatred of) the one or the other. Jimmy Carter had a low voting approval, and despite his work abroad, the sight of his presidency has not changed.

Is not it very likely that if Bush is leaving at a rate of about 20%, is what will always be remembered - if not all but forgotten in 50 years as Calvin Coolidge?

I think we will do a very good point. I can not think of a president at this time that the picture has changed very much since he left his office.

Also p. George W. Bush

****

"'ve Truman, Carter and Bush 41 significantly increased their ratings in the polls since he left office.

Make a difference between the popularity of a former president after leaving office, and an objective evaluation of their work during their tenure.

Truman, Carter and Bush 41 have substantially increased their ratings in the polls since he left office. It was widely reported last week on "Lunch former President Bush welcomed 43 Obama in the White House. I agree with Hasselbeck (again!) Will history be kinder to Bush, especially if it is your vision of a stable democracy in Iraq, the spread throughout the region, leading to a just and lasting peace. I do not think that happens, of course - but there's a chance.

Truman was as low as Bush and now we have a positive attitude, even when the Korean War was much worse than Iraq. Carter was also very low (not as bad as Bush if believe) and some that build peace and love to the people, the houses now. He thought otherwise during the hostage crisis in Iran.

The most striking image of a president has improved year after leaving office would be Harry Truman.

Under his administration, there were many challenges: a recession since 2 War, conflicts with the unions in the coal and rail, high deficits, the Korean War, the extremely high rate of income (a figure of around 70%), and not Roosevelt.

Has over the years, come to be regarded as honest, as of his time and a great level headed, very polite.

Johnson has some image enhancement rather among historians, but they are still in Vietnam. In general, this is still talking about his low rating.

The same goes for Nixon, his good work will always be tainted by the Watergate taint.

Reagan declined somewhat curious as Kennedy.

Harry Truman was not very popular, the day he left office, but history has risen to a first level of classification. Even George W. Bush will host a major rewrite in the future. Bush, like Truman, he never got an unbiased report on the media today in everything he did. For example, the stock hit a high of Bush, but was hit on the record of each report, followed by "but." The media can not wait to overthrow him. Look at this mess we have on future historians sift testimony before Congress, and marvel at the free step taken in Congress who do not respond to requests by President Bush for greater control of financial markets. I Remember that the Democrats' attempt to heart surgery in a patient who does not "comment during the hearings of the Committee on Banking force. There are many such examples that show President Bush was not bad, we were told it was from those who escaped justice for their power over demonstrate to the masses.

From what I understand, was before the time, Truman was much more respected after leaving office, especially if it about '72 or '73, when he was stationed died. He was honest and direct, and he died at the Watergate, when there are not a President and his people honest.

Kennedy is undoubtedly an icon for many years after his death. Most of his negative points were neglected, and his life was taken in 70 or 80th The story of Marilyn Monroe cases, while as a sort of "Urban Legend" until several years after his death.

The Eisenhower administration, turned to look with nostalgia for the 1970s and 80s, I do not know whether the President or, if he lived in (Happy Days?)

Clinton would have been known for his affair with Monica, but it is neglected in many ways, and the time is seen as an economic factor.

Jimmy Carter is what I have a certain way to feel, I think it's a good man, butnot handle things very well, especially the hostage crisis in Iran and received a bad reputation. Some things are repeated, as Sadat and Begin at Camp David to meet and to contribute personally to everyone.
